能楽 Théâtre Nô(能) et Kyôgén(狂言)
Noh(能) and Kyôgén(狂言) are collectively called Nohgaku(能楽).
Nohgaku is one of the oldest performing arts in Japanese traditional arts, and Japan's Nohgaku is one of the only stage arts in the world to have been passed down from generation to generation, parent to child, child to grand-child, and master to disciple, in an unbroken line for over 650 years.
Noh-gaku was designated an "Intangible Cultural Heritage", a "Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO in 2001.
